Within our beautiful county, we have an abundance of businesses and practitioners whose aim is to encourage wellbeing and provide an array of feel-good products and services for us to enjoy. In a time when collaboration and building our village again is incredibly important, we are bringing the Feel-Good folks of Norfolk together and welcoming Feel Good Norfolk.
We are a platform, not only to act as a resource for people to easily stay connected and find what is available, but also as a stage in which our local businesses can unite and thrive.
What makes us feel good is unique. It is an integral part of our health to understand what makes us as individuals feel good and to do these things regularly. Having grown up in Norfolk and worked as a therapist since 2009, founder of Feel Good Norfolk, Sarah Groves, has discovered some wonderful ways to support her health and wellbeing over the years.
“I love Norfolk. With all its beauty from the coast, to the forest, from a market town to our fine city of Norwich, we have a vast amount of culture, heritage, nature and independent businesses, old and new, which deserve our attention and celebration.”
With people engaging and investing more and more into their health and wellbeing, Feel Good Norfolk will make it easy for customers to confidently find what is available, as well as able to enjoy the value offered through the Feel Good Loyalty scheme.
Sarah has also experienced the challenges of building a business as a self-employed practitioner.
“There is so much more to consider than simply being knowledgeable within our art. We must go beyond our comfort zones. To do this alone with no support can be really difficult to do.”
From weekly social media activity to annual tax returns, having all the skills it takes to run our businesses can feel hard and, at times, disheartening. We can often procrastinate or even spend too long on the tasks that we don’t enjoy or feel confident doing.
Self-employment can mean finding a work/home life balance tricky with, for example, not being able to switch off at the end of a working day. Therefore, finding the right support for certain tasks, and creating efficient systems, is hugely beneficial to managing our time more effectively. Sarah is gathering an experienced and trusted local team who can help us with this. These will be accessible through the Feel Good Business category.
With a love of bringing people together and a vision that we can harmoniously support and learn from each other as a community, Sarah wanted to create a space where we can all feel like we are part of a team.
Through a supportive network and leaning into the strength of their peers, wellbeing practitioners and businesses can gain new ideas, build their confidence, and feel reassured. Sarah believes that “if we look to share and learn from each other, our businesses can grow and thrive side by side.”
Whether you are just starting out or you have been running your business for many years, FGN is a place where we can easily see what surrounds us in Norfolk, know what is available, and better understand the support we need to feel-good within our health and within our business.
